About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a number of CAD Technicians to work at our Sublot 7 Middleton Farm Offices Tamworth Road, Middleton B78 2BD.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the production of Engineering drawings and associated schedules

What you'll be doing

  • Read and determine information from drawings, schedules and specification
  • Preparation of drawings from Engineers sketches, using CAD software
  • Production of schedules,
  • Production of accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, and structuring of 2D and 3D information to suit modularisation
  • The provision of drawings detailing the setting out information installed
  • Maintaining accurate records “ drawing registers, schedules, specifications and take-off
  • Completion of Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover Documentation
  • Works to Weekly Programme “ drafted by others - and marks up progress achieved weekly
  • Contributes to collection of data for Key Performance Indicators, including reasons for difference

Who we're looking for

  • Reads and understands drawings and schedules
  • Strong understanding of construction tolerances
  • Experience of major civil engineering / structures / earthworks / drainage
  • Experience of producing information in different formats such as Bentley, AutoDesk, SketchUp
  • Knowledge of construction, maintenance, operations or facilities management
  • Awareness and use of Specification and other Contract documents
