About the role

Balfour Beatty VINCI has an exciting opportunity for Sub Agents to join our team, working at our Sublot 7 Kingsbury Site Offices.

Role Purpose:

To lead and control a section of the works, according to a specific discipline. Management of a team of Section Engineers, Site Engineers within the construction delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for promoting health, safety and welfare of the team
  • Liaise with designer to resolve technical issues
  • Allocate tasks to engineering team and supervise them to completion
  • Produce and monitor a fully resourced stage programme in an accepted format / software
  • Understand, evaluate and monitor the cost and value of the section of works under delivery
  • Draft correspondence and associated supportive documentation to sub-contractors, suppliers and client
  • Ensure that the work is delivered to the required engineering specification

Who we're looking for

  • Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard
  • Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility
  • Excellent team player, able to work competently and independently without continuous supervision
  • Strong communication skills with solution orientated approach to issue resolution
  • Previous experience of working on major Earthworks construction delivery
  • Knowledge of mentoring and developing emerging talent

Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging infrastructure project in Europe: HS2.
