About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Employee Communications Executive to join our team to work in our Coleshill office.

Role Purpose:

The key purpose of the role will be to liaise with the project delivery teams and enabling functions to obtain key project milestones / information which will make for engaging and inspiring content for internal and external audiences.

The role will also be responsible for producing drafts of these stories and, once done, to share these with the BBV internal communications and media teams.

What you'll be doing

  • obtaining relevant content from BBV contacts to produce drafts of these stories and, once done, to share these with the BBV internal communications and media teams.
  • drafting and editing communications copy and material
  • assisting in the organisation and delivery of our internal and external engagement events
  • updating employee contact/distribution lists (via Poppulo)
  • ensuring our key milestones and activities are added to the Communications Team content tracker
  • where required, to support all activities undertaken by the BBV Communications team

The role will also support the Employee Communications team on:

  • measuring the effectiveness of employee communications™ content and channels
  • implementing internal communications strategies and projects
  • managing and making changes to the project intranet (SharePoint)
  • preparing and issuing the BBV project weekly eNewsletter
  • updating our digital screens across offices and sites

Who we're looking for

  • A drivers licence with your own vehicle
  • experience in Communications preferred, demonstrable passion for Communications required
  • outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • a strong knowledge of how employee communications channels work (Intranets, Newsletters, Emails, Posters etc.)
  • well versed in office management software (Word, PowerPoint and Excel etc.)
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent organisational skills
  • great stakeholder engagement skills
  • creative and innovative
  • willingness to learn
  • desirable: operational knowledge of various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
  • desirable: tech savvy with an understanding of new and emerging technologies and how they can benefit communications within a corporate setting
