Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for an Approved Person Lifting Lead to join our Tunnels team to work in Birmingham

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the management, organisation, planning and control of all aspects of a lifting operation.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for the management, organisation, planning and control of all aspects of a lifting operation.
  • Assessment of Crane Supervisors and Slinger/Signallers.
  • Lead AP - All APs under their control have clearly defined roles, interfaces, levels of authority and areas of responsibility within the project such that all lifting operations are managed effectively, and none are overlooked.
  • Lead AP - All APs under their control are appointed in writing, having had their competence checked.
  • Lead AP - Mentors are assigned to APs, where required, to encourage professional development and to provide support to newly qualified or less experienced Aps
  • Lead AP - The site has full AP coverage and that the APs have sufficient time, resources and authority to undertake their role and meet the requirements of BBV.
  • Lead AP - The APs are supported; obtaining feedback and dealing with issues raised.

Who we're looking for

  • Experience are retained, e.g. logbooks, Lift Plans, RAMS, toolbox talks etc., such that a CV of experience can be established to assist in future appointments and competence demonstration Proactive and collaborative approach
  • Developed communication, effectively at all levels
  • Team working skills
